Kennedy – Pre-Teen Dancer

Kennedy is a bubbly, eleven-year old dancer whose energy during our session seemed to be unlimited!  She had been in a dance class earlier that morning (some of the twelve hours a week that she dances!) but still was excited to leap, skip, and stretch her way around Downtown Oakville and the Oakville lakefront area.  I’ve never been a dancer, so I was quite in awe of some of her moves.

On her pre-session questionnaire, KK as she’s known to her family, answered that one of the famous people she admired most was Ellen Degeneres. “I admire her because she is funny and she is always doing nice things for others. And she loves to dance!”  I thought this observation from Kennedy was interesting because that was just how her Mum had described her! (Parents of This Is Me participants also complete a questionnaire before the session.)
